TRIP TO LA PALOMA AND COSTA AZUL – DAY 1

Day 1

January 20, 2023, was a very special day, after a long time I went on a trip to La Paloma and Costa Azul in Rocha with my parents. We started the journey very early in the morning and the travel time by bus to that area of Uruguay was 4 hours. While I was traveling, I took some photos from the bus, and you can see the countryside and hills typical of this country.

Upon arriving at the house where we are staying in Costa Azul, we leave our luggage and prepare to go to the center of La Paloma by taxi. Upon arriving at the destination, we were able to see the sea with a green color, and a square with some beautiful statues, where we took several photos.

Then we walked down to the beach, and I immersed myself in the water, taking advantage of the waves to propel me, I had a great time. Afterwards we walked along the shore, I picked up some interesting stones, shells, and conch shells.

We continued walking along the coast, and we saw many rocks, boats, and a very close island in Bahía Chica called “Isla La Tuna”. Then we walked until we reached “Playa del Faro”, a lighthouse that is a tourist attraction, it was huge and imposing, I loved the view when we arrived.

Then we headed to the center of La Paloma, where there were many sales outlets, such as restaurants, ice cream shops, markets, clothing stores, toy stores, etc. I took some interesting photos of crafts. In a store I bought 2 magnets as a souvenir, which I really liked, and which are nice souvenirs from there.

Día 1

El 20 de enero del año 2023 fue un día muy especial, después de mucho tiempo me fui de viaje a La Paloma y Costa Azul en Rocha con mis padres. Arrancamos la travesía desde muy temprano en la mañana y el tiempo de viaje en ómnibus hasta esa zona de Uruguay fueron 4 horas. Mientras estaba en viaje tomé algunas fotos desde el ómnibus y se puede apreciar el campo y cerros propios de este país.

Al llegar a la casa donde nos hospedamos en Costa Azul, dejamos el equipaje y nos preparamos para ir al centro de La Paloma en taxi. Al llegar al destino, pudimos observar el mar con una coloración verde, y en una plaza unas estatuas bellas, donde nos sacamos varias fotos.

Luego bajamos caminando a la playa, y yo me sumergí en el agua, aprovechando las olas para impulsarme, la pasé genial. Después caminamos por la orilla, tomé algunas piedras interesantes, caparazones y caracolas.

Seguimos caminando por la costa, vimos muchas rocas, barcos y la Isla La Tuna, una isla muy cercana en la Bahía Chica. Luego caminamos hasta llegar a la Playa del Faro, una atracción turística la cuál era enorme e imponente, me encantó su vista al llegar.

Después nos dirigimos al centro de La Paloma, en donde había muchos locales de venta, como por ejemplo restaurantes, heladerías, mercados, tiendas de ropa, jugueterías, etc. Tomé algunas fotos interesantes de artesanías. En un local me compré 2 imanes como suvenir, los cuales me gustaron mucho y que son lindos recuerdos de allí.
