Day 1

On the morning of Friday, May 31st, at 5 am, our adventure began with my parents and two friends, traveling by car from Canelones to Rocha, where Chuy is located, on the Uruguay-Brazil border.

On the way, we had to go slowly due to thick fog, stopped at a service station, and continued the journey.

Chuy is a city in Rocha where there are many shops with affordable prices. You can find different types of things such as clothes, backpacks, handbags, restaurants, duty-free shops, etc.

Upon arriving in the city, the first thing we did was had lunch at a restaurant because we had a 6-hour trip and needed to replenish our energy. I ordered a Baurú (which is a kind of large sandwich) with French fries, it was very tasty.

After lunch, we started exploring the different shops along Chuy. In one of them, I found a Wonder Woman mannequin that caught my attention.

After several hours walking and shopping for different things in the stores at very low prices, we headed to the hotel where we stayed. Inside, we could see different types of paintings near the entrance.

In the afternoon, we visited a duty-free shop, where I bought different flavors of Monster energy drink. And upon leaving there, in a nearby anime products store, I bought 3 figures, Pokémon cards, and a Poké Ball.

Closer to the evening, we returned to the hotel and took advantage of the hot water pool inside, we relaxed and enjoyed it a lot.

At the end of the day, we went to a restaurant called “Entre Amigos”, we ate seafood with rice, and in my case, a Chivito (a type of sandwich) with French fries. Then we returned to the hotel and slept, in my case, it was quick because I was very tired because I slept only 3 hours the night before.

Día 1

El viernes 31 de mayo en la mañana, junto a mis padres y dos amigos a las 5 am empezó nuestra aventura, viajando en auto desde Canelones hasta Rocha donde se encuentra el Chuy, en la frontera Uruguay – Brasil.

En el camino tuvimos que ir lento debido a una espesa niebla, paramos en una estación de servicio y continuamos el viaje.

El Chuy es una ciudad de Rocha donde se encuentran muchos negocios con precios accesibles, se pueden encontrar diferentes tipos de cosas como por ejemplo ropa, mochilas, carteras, restaurantes, free shops, etc.

Al llegar a dicha ciudad, lo primero que hicimos fue almorzar en un restaurante porque tuvimos 6 horas de viaje y necesitamos reponer la energía. Yo pedí para comer un Baurú (que es una especie de sándwich grande) con papas fritas, estuvo muy rico.

Luego de haber almorzado, comenzamos a recorrer los diferentes negocios a lo largo del Chuy, en uno encontré un maniquí de la Mujer Maravilla que me llamó la atención.

Durante varias horas caminando y comprando diferentes cosas en las tiendas a precios muy bajos nos dirigimos al hotel donde nos hospedamos. Allí dentro pudimos ver diferentes tipos de cuadros cerca de la entrada.

En la tarde visitamos un free shop, allí yo compré diferentes sabores de las bebidas energéticas Monster. Y al salir de allí, en un negocio de productos de anime cerca, compré 3 figuras, cartas de Pokémon, y una Poké Ball.

Más cerca de la noche, volvimos al hotel y aprovechamos la piscina de agua caliente dentro del mismo, nos distendimos y disfrutamos mucho.

Ya culminando el día, fuimos a un restaurante llamado “Entre Amigos”, comimos mariscos con arroz, y en mi caso un chivito con papas fritas. Luego regresamos al hotel y dormimos, en mi caso fue rápido porque estaba muy cansado ya que dormí 3 horas la noche anterior.
